How many sheets? Divide the roof or wall width by 0.7 and round up. A 6m wide skillion is 6 ÷ 0.7 = 8.6, so 9 sheets. The 700mm is cover after lapping, not the physical width of the sheet. Hips, valleys and penetrations need extra; confirm with your installer.
Before you order. Measure each run, add the overhang, check the pitch is 2° or more after allowing for deflection, and check the truck can get a 10m sheet to where you need it. Sheets are cut to your numbers and can't be returned.
Support spacing and wind. The span table below gives maximum support spacings for 0.42 BMT. Your site's wind classification decides which column applies. If you're not sure, have a builder or engineer confirm it; the sheet's warranty depends on it being installed to spec.
Keep the metals compatible. Use COLORBOND® or ZINCALUME® flashings, screws with the right coating class, and no lead, copper or treated-timber run-off onto the sheet. Dissimilar metals in contact with COLORBOND® cause corrosion at the join and void the warranty.
