LYSAGHT KLIP-LOK® 406 is a concealed-fix steel roofing and walling profile with a nominal cover width of 406mm. It is manufactured from genuine 0.48 BMT COLORBOND® steel and cut to the sheet lengths selected when ordering.
Unlike exposed-fix roofing profiles, KLIP-LOK® 406 is secured using clips beneath the sheets. This means the fasteners do not penetrate the sheet surface, producing clean roof lines without rows of visible screws.
KLIP-LOK® 406 is suitable for residential, commercial and light industrial roofing and walling applications. Its concealed-fix profile can be used for:
The suitability of the profile, support spacing and fixing requirements must be confirmed for the specific building, location and wind conditions.
KLIP-LOK® 406 sheets are installed over compatible fixing clips attached to the roof supports. Each sheet locks onto the clips, securing it without screws penetrating the sheet pans.
This concealed system provides a smooth appearance while allowing the roof sheets to respond to thermal expansion and contraction. Correct clip placement, support spacing and installation are essential to the performance of the finished roof.
Important: Fixing clips are not supplied with the roof sheets. They must be ordered separately. View the KLIP-LOK® 406 fixing clips.
Each installed sheet provides approximately 406mm of cover. As an initial guide, divide the total roof or wall width in millimetres by 406 and round up to the next whole sheet.
For example, a roof area measuring 4,000mm across would require approximately 10 sheets:
4,000 ÷ 406 = 9.85, rounded up to 10 sheets.
This is a basic estimating method only. Final quantities may be affected by the building layout, hips, valleys, penetrations, overlaps and installation requirements. Confirm all measurements before placing a made-to-length order.
Before ordering your COLORBOND® KLIP-LOK® 406 roofing sheets, confirm:
These sheets are manufactured to the lengths ordered, so measurements should be checked carefully before checkout.
Manufacturing tolerances apply to cut-to-length roof sheets:
Allowance must also be made for thermal expansion and contraction at the ends of long roof sheets.
Yes. KLIP-LOK® 406 has a minimum recommended roof pitch of 1°, making it suitable for suitably designed low-pitch roofing applications. Roof drainage, sheet lengths, penetrations and installation details must still comply with the relevant design and installation requirements.
No. KLIP-LOK® 406 fixing clips are required for installation but are sold separately. The number and spacing of clips depend on the roof design, support spacing and site conditions.
